Omar Haider Chowdhury

I am currently working under Dr. Anupam Datta as a Visiting Researcher in CyLab at the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). I can be contacted at omarc AT andrew DOT cmu DOT edu.

 

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am currently being advised by Dr. Jianwei Niu. I was being advised by Dr. William H. Winsborough before he passed away suddenly on August, 2011. Broadly, my research interest lies is in the field of Computer Security, specifically, access control and privacy policy enforcement. Currently I am working on using formal verification techniques for verifying interesting properties of privacy policies which enable efficient enforcement of privacy policies like HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
